Star Wars is so political. Oh my god i love it. I know it was written over 20 years ago, so it is interesting how it so perfectly fits in with politics now.

Bush is clearly a sith lord. Look at the similarities.

Bush/Sidious create a fake war to gain more executive power.

Bush/Sidious is a power fiend.

Bush/Sidious wants to bring "security" to his country/empire; what that really does is take away liberty.

i shall add more.

Er. I thought that quote from Obi-Wan was sort of ironic, since “only a Sith deals in absolutes” is an absolute …

Also, the dialogue for the last three wasn't written over 20 years ago. Episode III just came out this year. The dialogue is very, very written for the times.

Yeah I noticed the hypocrisy in that too. Funny isn't it? However, that movie has the BEST quote ever: "So this is how liberty dies, to the sound of applause"

I interpreted Obi-Wans statement less literally. I think in the moment he was just being dramatic by saying "only." clearly a non-sith person could deal in absolutes. the point is more that it is definatly not the way of a jedi. especially not Anakin.
